When Piotr was a young man, he studied cinematography at the Silesian University in Poland. He didn't finish his studies - a window to study still photography had opened for him in the United Kingdom, at the Bournemouth & Poole College of Art, and he decided to use this opportunity. He didn't finish that studies either. Instead he got married back in Poland, had children, worked as press photographer for many, many years. But film-making was still somewhere deep in his mind. In 2013 he enrolled in a documentary course at the renowned Wajda School in Warsaw. He finished it! Since then Piotr is shooting and directing documentary films, of his own as well as commissioned. Over the last few years his clients for shorts have included Washington Post, Open Society Foundation, British Red Cross, British Chamber of Commerce. Piotr was working as a cinematographer on a feature length documentary co-produced by David Lynch, still in production. He has also been commissioned to work on a scientific documentary produced currently in the United States, covering two roles; of a cinematographer and a second unit director. Piotr owns a film production firm Short Docs Media and is a producer and director of his own documentaries, appreciated at the worldwide festivals. His latest documentary, "George and George on the Lake" was selected to be a part of prestigious IF/Then program run by Tribeca Film Institute.
